ACRYLIC ACID GLACIAL

Acrylic acid glacial is an unsaturated monocarboxylic acid used as a feedstock for syntheses and polymerizations. It readily reacts as a vinyl compound and carboxylic acid making it useful for producing homopolymers and copolymers with other monomers. Copolymers of acrylic acid glacial exhibit glassy consistency and are frequently water-soluble, finding applications as thickeners, dispersants, and protective colloids. Its ability to undergo addition reactions also makes it valuable for producing derivatives like unsaturated fatty acids and heterocyclic compounds. When used in copolymers for the industry, acrylic acid glacial can enhance properties like water resistance, adhesion and flexibility important for durable protective sealants and adhesives.
